Together, My Sustainable Canada's Tania Del Matto with the University of Waterloo's Dr. Daniel Scott, co-authored a paper entitled: "Sustainable Ski Resort Principles, an Upward Journey" for publication in the Elsevier, Advances in Tourism Research Series.

Ski areas engaged in the practice of Corporate Social Responsibility will move to minimize or eliminate these impacts. Indeed, the sustainable ski resort literature supports the argument that as corporate citizens, members of the ski resort industry have an ethical responsibility to act as stewards of the biophysical environment and as such pursue sustainability. This chapter aims to build on the current understanding of what constitutes a sustainable ski resort by developing sector-specifi c principles that operate on an integrated systems approach to sustainability.
