My Sustainable Canada (MSC) is a national not-for-profit organization with a mandate to help people and organizations make more sustainable choices. At MSC, we believe people and organizations can use their buying power to drive social change. We believe these shifts begin with a dialogue centred on two core questions. How can we consume less? How can we consume differently?
MSC contributes to this dialogue in several ways. We engage in research and policy development on how best to educate and equip people and organizations to deal with sustainable consumption issues in the marketplace. In collaboration with our partners, we design and deliver programs and tools with the goal of making purchasing decisions for a more sustainable world easier.
Founded in 2007, MSC is funded through government grants and fee-for-service activities. MSC has over 425 members across Canada, including community and industry level sustainability practitioners, academics, and engaged citizens. MSC is guided by an advisory council that provides input into the planning and development of future programs and services that meet the needs of its members.
